Small Arts Organizations and the
               Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project

The first management tool of its kind, the Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project (Pennsylvania CDP) was created to be used by arts groups and programs of all shapes and sizes.  An online system for collecting and standardizing historical financial and organizational data, it provides resources to help better manage your institution and apply to multiple funders quickly and easily.

Many small arts groups and programs participate in the Pennsylvania CDP and provide valuable data about the arts and culture sector.  In fact, 54% of the organizations participating have budgets under $250,000.  With this in mind, we have designed a special session to help you get started and make the most out of your participation with the Pennsylvania CDP. Whether you are an unaudited 501(c)(3) organization, a small collective that is fiscally sponsored, or a program within a larger non-arts institution - this session will help you learn how to best enter your data and use the powerful trend and comparison reports available through the Pennsylvania CDP.

Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project

The Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project is a powerful, online management tool designed to strengthen arts and cultural organizations. This unique system allows users to track their own financial and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark themselves against comparable organizations in specific disciplines, geographic regions and budget sizes. Through the Pennsylvania CDP Help Desk, organizations have immediate access to free on-call technical assistance and a team of non-profit financial consultants. Pennsylvania CDP is available to large and small organizations, including those with 501(c)3 status, cultural programs within non-arts organizations, organizations using fiscal conduits, and even unincorporated collectives and festivals at no cost.

By participating in the Pennsylvania CDP, you will be part of a successful and growing project that will allow the arts community as a whole to better articulate and provide evidence for the sector's assets and needs, as well as its contributions to the state and the country.
